During pregnancy
As your baby grows, your posture shifts, ligaments soften and the back and pelvis take more load. We help with:
- Back pain and pelvic girdle pain — pain at the back of the pelvis, in the hips, or at the front over the pubic bone
- Safe exercise to stay active and strong, adjusted to each stage of pregnancy
- Posture, sleep positions and daily movement — getting in and out of bed, sitting, lifting
- Breathing and relaxation to prepare for delivery
- Pre-natal massage for tired, aching muscles
After delivery
Feeding, carrying and bending over a baby all day puts new strain on the body — often while you are short of sleep. We help with:
- Back, neck and wrist pain from feeding and lifting
- Rebuilding core and pelvic floor strength gently and safely
- Tummy muscle separation (diastasis recti) — guided exercise as it recovers
- Returning to exercise after a normal delivery or caesarean, once your doctor agrees
- Post-natal massage to ease muscle tension
- Knee and joint pain that some mothers notice in the months after delivery
A comfortable, caring clinic
Nisarg was founded by Dr. Hemal Gondkar, and our signboard has said “women’s health care” for years. Many mothers feel more at ease being treated by a woman physiotherapist, and we take time to explain every exercise and answer your questions — including the ones you might feel shy to ask.
Very professional and cooperative staff. Physiotherapist Hemal madam is very knowledgeable and experienced. Listens to you patiently and explains what is best for you. Keeps everyone equally attended and respected.
During pregnancy, stop exercising and contact your doctor straight away if you have:
- Vaginal bleeding or fluid leaking
- Regular, painful tightenings or contractions
- Dizziness, chest pain, or a bad headache with blurred vision
- Pain or swelling in one calf
- Your baby moving less than usual

Frequently asked questions
Is it safe to exercise during pregnancy?
For most healthy pregnancies, yes — regular, moderate exercise is encouraged. Always check with your gynaecologist first. We tailor every exercise to your stage of pregnancy and how you feel on the day.
When can I start exercising after delivery?
Gentle breathing, pelvic floor and walking can usually begin soon after a normal delivery. More structured exercise usually starts after your six-week check-up, or later after a caesarean — always with your doctor’s go-ahead.
Do you offer pre-natal and post-natal massage?
Yes. Gentle pre- and post-natal massage is one of the services we offer, alongside exercise and posture care.
Will I be treated by a woman physiotherapist?
Dr. Hemal Gondkar, who founded the clinic, is a woman physiotherapist, and she plans and personally checks on every patient’s treatment.
